Grant Named to the Board of Directors National United Methodist Men’s Group

Los Angeles, CA, September 12, 2012, Reginald Grant is now a Board Member of the General Commission on United Methodist Men. The GCUMM is known as the most organized church men’s group in the nation and possibly the world. GCUMM is an arm of the United Methodist Church which has over 11,000 million plus members and 40,000 churches worldwide with 34,000 churches in the US. Mr. Grant will serve a four year term.

He is currently the Vice President of the West Division of Cal Pac and member of Holman United Methodist Church in Los Angeles, CA. A Certificated English Teacher, California (English Exam) for the past eleven years, he is now teaching at an Entrepreneurial Charter High School in Woodland Hills, California. In 2011 he served on the CASHEE – California State High School Exit Exam development/review panel for English.

He is past Chairman of the Board and member of the Board of Directors for the NAAAA presenters of the premier award in the nation for African American male high school scholar athletes, the “Watkins Award”. Coordinator  of Football Camps, Showcases and All-Star Games for eSportsInstruction.com in California and Washington

Grant is a former professional football player for the New York Jets, NFL and Ottawa Rough Riders, CFL. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon, attended on an athletic scholarship. The former National Director Football Operations and Head Coach for the NFL funded Youth Impact Program at University of Southern California (USC), U of South Florida, Tulane and Rice Universities.  For six years was a high school football coach, four as a head coach.

He is also a Marketing and Social Networking professional and business owner. Currently co-producer of a documentary film on the 1965 American Football League Boycott by black players and the web series AfterTheScreamingStops.com covering the lives of former NFL players.
